Anja Šetar Mencinger, dr.dent.med, MSc

Founder, Head of the Public Healthcare Practice, and Dentist

A dentist with over 15 years of extensive experience, Anja has been the head of the public healthcare (concession-based) practice since 2022, overseeing the quality and standards of dental services in our clinic.

Before that, she worked for several years in the field of endodontics (root canal treatments), gaining in-depth expertise and hands-on experience. In 2021, she completed postgraduate studies in periodontology in Rome, which allows her to take a comprehensive approach to dental and gum health.

Already during her university years, she took part in training in laser dentistry, a technology she now successfully incorporates into her everyday practice. Since 2020, she has also been focusing on Invisalign treatment and continues to regularly update her knowledge in this area to offer her patients the best and most modern solutions available.

In addition, she works with Myobrace myofunctional therapy, helping patients improve oral function and prevent dental development issues.

Anja is committed to continuous education, both in Slovenia and abroad, and believes that a positive team environment is key to providing truly comprehensive and high-quality care for patients.

Anja Sedej, dr.dent.med

Dentist

Precise and dedicated dentist who is always focused on finding the best professional solutions for her patients. During her studies, she was awarded the Prešeren Prize for her research work. While the head of the healthcare practice was on maternity leave, she successfully took on the role of lead dentist, and today remains a permanent member of the Ortea team.

She shares with the head of practice a deep commitment to professional excellence, continuous education, and comprehensive patient care.

Barbara Felicijan

Head Dental Assistant and Administrator

The heart of our clinic’s organization — she ensures the smooth running of daily operations, provides essential support to the dentists, and maintains a warm, welcoming connection with patients.
She is known for her kindness, openness, positive attitude, and willingness to share her knowledge with younger colleagues.
Her work seamlessly bridges clinical expertise with organization and helps foster a pleasant, team-oriented atmosphere.

New member of the team – Dental Assistant (currently in training)

Our team is growing with new energy — a dental assistant who is currently in training and actively joining the daily work of the practice under careful mentorship.

Future dentist and scholarship holder

Part of our team is also a future dentist who, under the guidance of experienced mentors, is gaining practical experience and actively participating in patient care — with a strong commitment to professional growth and understanding patient needs.
